Master Scheduler-Planner


Responsible for managing the overall production schedule, insuring our valuable customers are always delighted, while efficiently loading the production floor. Utilizing exceptional decision making and interpersonal skills, will react quickly and effectively to a fast paced work environment, directly interfacing with Operations Management, Customer Service, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, and Procurement. Will develop and deploy jobs within the ERP system, establish priorities, and revise the schedule according to customer needs, job specifications, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, and equipment. In addition to exemplary technical skills and work experience, this position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and tactical agility.



  1. Communicates daily with the Plant Manager and Customer Service Management to insure that the daily/weekly build sequence is in line with our customer requirements.
  2. Develops and executes production schedules, material plans and inventory levels based on engineering needs, production demand, plant capacity, and the master production schedule.
  3. Completes what-if scenarios to aid in production planning and optimization of activities.
  4. Assists in establishing sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
  5. Analyzes MRP data to ensure accuracy and that materials are on schedule. Advise on critical parts requiring reschedule.
  6. Understands yields and Expedites while reviewing the impacts to MRP.
  7. Acts as the data steward for planning and schedule related ERP parameters.
  8. Communicates the manufacturing schedule to all involved parties on a daily basis.
  9. Readjusts schedules in a timely manner according to production progress, change orders, shipping considerations, expedites, Quality issues, or other conditions.
  10. Works closely with building maintenance to coordinate PM’s and planned shutdowns.
  11. Works with Buyers to insure material and components are available when needed.
  12. Coordinates with department personnel to determine status of assigned jobs.
  13. Tracks and reports progress against the production plan, measures and reports performance to plan via standard metrics.
  14. Analyzes and reviews demand trends and works with procurement to make the necessary adjustments.
  15. Participates and an integral part of the Production leadership team meetings.
  16. Process Improvement: Maintains working knowledge of latest developments in master scheduling and LEAN manufacturing concepts.


    Technical Competencies: 

    • Bachelor Degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in a Manufacturing/Materials environment, which includes at least three (3) years direct experience in planning and scheduling.
    • Experience in planning and scheduling multiple jobs/projects, and management of planning and scheduling resources.
    • Detailed knowledge of MRP Systems a must.
    • Experience with business-wide ERP systems (EPICOR ERP software systems a plus) required.
    • Problem solving and analytical thinking skills required.
    • Exemplary organization and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge and experience with multi-level bill of materials and associated routings
    • APICS Certification a plus.
    • Project management skills.
    • Ability to utilize various computer software programs for work processing, database, and spreadsheets.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain techniques a plus.



    Human Resources Business Partner Manager


    Leads and manages human resources activities for assigned location(s) in alignment with company philosophy, objectives and legal requirements. Administers Human Resources policies and procedures for the site. Implements and maintains practices and objectives which provide a positive employer-employee relationship, promotes a high level of employee morale and protects the interest of the organization. Responsible for the following areas: recruitment and staffing, employee relations, wage and salary administration, onboarding and training, and employee services. Closely collaborates and partners with all functional organizations.



    1. Continuously monitors and recommends new or revised policies and practices in all areas of human resources management.
    2. Assists managers in defining position requirements and potential sources of applicants through advertising or search agency selection and supervises recruiting campaigns. Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt employees involved in the Operations of the company. Ensures that all employment actions are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    3. Determines and recommends a balanced employee relations program. Provides advice and counsel to managers in handling difficult and sensitive employee relations issues. Reviews cases of serious violations of company rules governing employee conduct and recommends actions appropriate for conflict resolution, including disciplinary actions.
    4. Monitors career pathing program. Works with Managers to verify employees are trained in their work areas including processes, procedures, rules, and regulations. Manages employee performance evaluation program.
    5. Promotes the opportunity for a formal discussion by employees and their supervisors to review overall work performance, objectives, and career development.
    6. Assists with developing and monitoring the company’s compensation program by insuring current and accurate job descriptions, conducting job analysis and salary surveys for labor grade classifications. Ensures pay increases and salary offers are within the budget.
    7. Participates on the site safety team as an advisor ensuring the work they perform is in compliance with legislated requirements, such as OSHA/Cal-OSHA and with governmental agencies such as the EPA. Works with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Ensures that the proper person responsible for the various areas in safety have properly trained all employees affected by that area.
    8. Assists with local administration of the Company’s benefit programs.
    9. Evaluates results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvement of efficiency of department and services performed. Prepares periodic reports to Executive Management, as necessary or requested.
    10. Represents the company and its interests at various professional, industry, and community associations to further the company’s name in the community or its positive relationship within the industry.


    1. May represent the company in legal proceedings.
    2. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
