Sr. Maintenance Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment. Exercises technical independence in determining work methods and procedures and receives assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Performs maintenance duties, grounds and building maintenance and repair work.
  2. Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment.
  3. Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
  4. Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
  5. Utilizes a wide variety of hand and portable power tools.
  6. Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
  7. Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter change and the like.
  8. Assists in the movement of furniture, materials and equipment as required.
  9. Reports needs for major repairs to Production Manager.
  10. Responsible for the security of the building under the supervision of the Safety Manager.
  11. Prepares accurate records for preventative maintenance.
  12. Troubleshoots equipment at the component level.

Business Development Manager - Power Products

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall recruitment, management and growth of VAR program for the Electronics an Power product lines. Coordinates with Marketing, Product Management, Area Vice Presidents, Power Sales Engineers and Regional Sales Managers in the achievement of overall business unit growth. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a strategic VAR program centered around Power Distribution Units (PDUs). Develops and implements national sales strategies towards improvement of product line penetration, product introductions, expansion of customer base and product market share.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinates with Sales Managers, Regional Field Sales personnel, and Marketing to ensure maximum market penetration and accomplishment of specific national accounts short and long-range objectives.
  2. Defines and implements VAR program including registration criteria, incentives and training material.
  3. Devises and assists others in formulation of sales strategies, forecasts, budgets, and national sales plan. Provides recommendations and advice on overall sales strategy, promotional campaigns, distribution policies, support programs and other marketing and sales activities related to assigned corporate channel accounts/distributors.
  4. Develops and implements joint marketing plans with targeted national accounts, coordinating activities with internal Company departments and regional sales staff members.

Plant Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for Plant Operations management and meeting of operational goals of delighting the customer, quality, safety and profitability through accountability and supply chain optimization. Provides a clear single point of (CPI Plant Level) accountability for day-to-day execution of the order fulfillment process. Provides leadership, influence, management and control for all plant operational activities including: on-site tactical planning, manufacturing, materials, manufacturing engineering, material control, receiving, maintenance and on site logistics.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Strong sense of entrepreneurship that effectively balances the various drivers that leads to enhance profitability of the site.
  2. Develops the plant operations plan to ensure that safety, quality, performance to promise, lead times and total delivered cost expectations are met, and that machinery and space resources are being utilized efficiently.
  3. Collaborates with Environmental Health and Safety Manger and Quality Manager to ensure that all production processes are safe and yield high quality. Ultimately, responsible for managing all product quality for assigned facility.
  4. Works with Marketing, Product Management and Design Engineering to ensure that manufacturing capability, key components, end items, and contract manufacturing relationships are in place at the plant level to support the company’s product marketing plan.
  5. Partners with Global Logistics and Supply Chain to develop strategic direction and improve shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory practices.
  6. Manages relationships with plant specific tactical component contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  7. Supports, manages and coordinates plant environmental, health and safety program compliance and ensures that all local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations are met.
  8. Originates, implements, and maintains practices and objectives which provide for a positive employer-employee relationship and promotes a high level of employee morale.
  9. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity, increase flexibility in manufacturing, and reduce total cost.
  10. Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action, as necessary, on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department, as appropriate.
  11. Develops and manages annual budgetary plan by achieving optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs.
  12. Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, facility expansions, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
  13. Collaborates with cross-functional peers across the organization to ensure effective resolution of issues that affect our customers or employee-owners.
  14. Develops and executes Manufacturing Engineering strategies and objectives based on company’s strategic business plan, equipment requirements and annual operating plan.
  15. Ensures the timely preventive maintenance and repair of equipment.
  16. Responsible for the development and administration of policies and practices that assure adequate protection of transmission and distribution inventory assets and the integrity of inventory records.
  17. Prepares annual department budget and monitors the approved budget on a regular basis.
  18. Actively participates in the on-going relationship with tactical plant providers, including supplier improvement, supplier quality, contract management, joint supply chain improvements and cost improvements over time.
  19. Participates in the research, development and design of long-range strategic objectives. Works with other departmental managers in the laying out and planning of potential future operational changes.
  20. Chairs weekly quality assurance meetings involving Production, Materials, and Engineering (Custom, Design & Manufacturing).
  21. Assures an uninterrupted supply of material while maximizing inventory turns.
  22. Evaluates suppliers and provides feedback to improve performance, especially in the areas of lead time, on-time delivery, delivered cost, terms, and quality.
  23. Develops and maintains long term relationships with key suppliers.

Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Leads the day-to-day quality assurance efforts and performs the core quality assurance tasks in the facility. Provides quality assurance support services to several departments. The support services include many tasks that contribute to the company-wide efforts to improve the quality of products and services. Such tasks include providing assistance to Product Engineering with quality verification of new products and assisting Operations in their efforts to document procedures and instructions. Provides training in QA techniques to the Production Team and responds to requests from the Materials and Procurement Team to resolve supplier quality concerns.

Core quality assurance tasks include identifying and solving “Six Sigma” projects, planning and arranging internal and external audits and the corrective actions generated by the audits. Monitors gage calibration programs and evaluates customer complaints and rejected parts for corrective and prevention actions. Works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering and Production Team to reduce process variation and the risk of defects in the production of CPI products by applying “six sigma” quality tools and related techniques.

Responsible for identifying and mentoring quality technicians in the factory.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Leads the day-to-day quality assurance efforts in the assigned facility by being responsible for activities that prevent and correct poor product quality and control methods such as gage calibration, audits etc.
  2. Applies appropriate QA techniques such as “Six Sigma” tools to solve QA problems in all value adding steps. Actions include defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling quality risks and quality problems in products and processes.
  3. Provides expertise in “lean techniques” in support of value stream business process improvement initiatives.
  4. Works cooperatively with Quality Engineers at other CPI sites to share best practices and ensure Quality processes controls are homogenous within the company.
  5. Provides training in QA techniques to new and existing employees.
  6. Assists the Product Development teams with verification of new product process and quality control.
  7. Assists the Manufacturing Engineering Team in the effort to reduce production process variation.
  8. Monitors the gage calibration program, to ensure that gages are calibrated as per procedures.
  9. Determines corrective and preventive actions for continuous quality improvements by evaluating known and potential quality problems, based on customer complaints and other information.
  10. Organizes internal and external audits and reacts to findings.
  11. Evaluates external quality systems in use at suppliers.
  12. Documents procedures, instructions, quality plans etc. and verifies their usage.
  13. Inspects products and records the results.
