Sr. Program Manager, Power & Software

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Program Manager for Power & Software will serve as a leader providing management and cross functional coordination for major Power and Software product development projects. Serving as the key representative for Power deliverables to CPI Core teams, the role will require driving the development schedule, budgets and coordination between the electronics and software engineering team with other departments. The role will involve managing multiple concurrent programs driven by The department director and/or other Product Managers. As an integral part of product development team, cross-department collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and other employee-owners will be paramount to both the Program Manager’s and the various project’s success.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Plans, directs, and coordinates Power & Software resources to implement product development Programs as required by the department director.
  2. Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, resource requirements, sub-contractors, and risk.
  3. Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet Project/Program needs and requirements, including internal and external resources
  4. Plans, schedules, monitor and reports on activities related to the Project/Program.
  5. Communicates Project/Program requirements, scope, and change management issues with department director, and other program managers as appropriate.
  6. Facilitates status review meetings among project team members and clients. Works with senior management on product development Programs proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.
  7. Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project/program goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.
  8. Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and Project/Program Management techniques.

Sr. Industrial Design Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Chatsworth Products is focused on turning good ideas into exceptional products. As a Sr. Industrial Design Engineer, this role will serve as the core architect of Industrial Design, and be a key member of our innovation team. This Designer will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customers. Daily duties will include conceptual design development, 3D CAD modeling in SolidWorks, photorealistic renderings, animations, plastic and metal part design. This Designer will regularly present “High Level” ideas to management and project teams. This role will involve managing multiple concurrent projects of varying difficulty and the creation of compelling designs based upon ideation, brand, research, and product requirements. This role will report to the Director of Engineering and will work closely with cross department teams including Product Management, Marketing, and Manufacturing. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create innovative, and compelling designs based on Research, Product Development Requirements, Manufacturability, and Market use.
  2. Strong understanding of design principles
  3. Experienced in plastic and metal part design (drafts, slides, gates, parting lines…)
  4. Traditional Design experience (Sketching, rendering, model creation)
  5. SolidWorks Power User (Injection Molding, Stamping, Casting, Extrusions)
  6. Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (Windows Platform)

Training and Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for creating, planning, and administering sales, product and market related training and customer-facing presentations to the CPI sales and support organization, partners and customers. Delivers training as required. Collaborates with various departments including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Technical Services to identify, define and insure that all training and presentations are consistent in content and strategic approach. Creates and manages sales and marketing company-wide training strategy, standards, expectations and measurements. All actions should support CPI’s market position, branding and foster an environment of continuous learning. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Designs, develops and executes the Company’s training strategy. Work with internal stakeholders to develop training programs that align with the Company goals.
  2. Based on Company objectives, creates and delivers innovative, effective and timely sales and marketing training programs to address new product releases, continuing education courses, joint-partner seminars, customer training and speaking engagements.
  3. Develops training and presentation content. Transforms raw source content into a meaningful and effective training solution. Outputs could be a storyboard document for e-learning, job aid, classroom-based activity, presentation, videos, etc.
  4. Contributes and manages budget for product and market training programs.
  5. Modifies, updates and enhances existing sales and marketing training material, as needed.
  6. Creates sales and marketing “Train the trainer” program. Delivers “trainer” training as required.
  7. Initiates and implements an overall Training on Demand e-learning library. Tracking of use to ensure correct approach to learning is utilized.
  8. Based on needs, selects appropriate training delivery methods, such as individual or group training, self study, role-plays, e-learning, webinars, etc. Utilizes selected methods to achieve desired impact.
  9. Organizes, develops and maintains sales and marketing training manuals, reference library materials, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  10. Measures and evaluates effectiveness of sales and marketing training programs; makes recommendations for updates/changes as necessary.
  11. Develops and implements annual sales training to ensure professionalism of sales training is ingrained across all corporate customer interactive sales applications. Maintains records and reports on participation and performance.
  12. Designs and produces knowledge/skills refresher programs for Sales team, as necessary.
  13. Facilitates seminars, programs, speaking engagements, and classes as needed.
  14. Delivers training as required.
  15. Explores trends, innovations and applications within the sales and marketing training industry.

System Architect

JOB SUMMARY:

The System Architect will be responsible for the development of electronic power products.  He or she will work with Product Management and a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers to identify and define product families, concepts, and technological ingredients.  Responsibilities will span across all engineering disciplines, although mechanical and electrical engineering will be the primary areas of focus. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly responsible for optimization of electronics packaging and layout.
  • Performs mechanical simulations of device, rack/cabinet, internal wiring, and data center solutions.
  • Identifies and drives solutions to cross functional issues.
  • Individually leads engineering efforts on projects from concept level through production ramp.
  • Mentors all levels of mechanical engineering team, sharing best practices for successful product solutions.
  • Anticipates and communicates future engineering tool needs.
 

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience designing electro-mechanical products.
  • Well versed in electronic packaging design using plastics, sheet metal, die castings, printed circuit boards, high performance interconnects and assembly methods.
  • Advanced knowledge in utilizing SolidWorks to develop electro-mechanical solutions.
  • Familiar with polyphase electrical power distribution systems.
  • Data Center Thermal Engineering experience a plus.

Press Brake Operator

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs functions to independently set up and operate press brake machinery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates sheet metal equipment to form sheet metal products to Engineering drawings and specifications.
  2. Under minimal supervision, programs, sets up and operates press brake including changing tooling.
  3. Inspects and maintains workplace and equipment for compliance with safety requirements. Corrects any safety issue prior to performing operations.
  4. Inspects parts per applicable procedures. Resolves quality and mechanical problems, making minor repairs and equipment adjustments, as needed.
  5. Works from blueprints, schedules and specifications.
 

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Continuously maintains a clean work area including the cleanup and disposal of trash and production scrap. Assist in cleaning common areas.
  2. Performs other related duties, as assigned by management.
