Industrial Application Specialist


The successful candidate will be accountable for supporting Chatsworth Products strong growth trajectory, developing new business opportunities, and exploring new markets for Industrial Cabinet applications. Professional technical sales role requiring the identification and support of new End- Users, Equipment Builders, Panel Builders, OEM’s and Engineering Firms in the Industrial Industry. Will support and assist Chatsworth’s Industrial Rep Firms with product selection through on site visits, technical support and product presentations. Will act as a technical liaison between customers and CPI management, Engineering and Product Management. This position is home office based and will reside in the Western US (California West to Texas East) within (50) miles of a major airport.



  1. Proven success in selling electrical equipment to panel builders, systems integrators, panel shops and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s). Sales into the Industrial space a plus.
  2. Provides advanced & comprehensive technical application assistance to the Chatsworth sales team, Industrial Rep Firms and Chatsworth customers.
  3. Demonstrates high level of knowledge on product design, operation and performance.
  4. Gathers market intelligence related to new product applications, market trends, pricing and bid strategies, competition and technology research.
  5. Provides recommendations for new or modified sales strategies, programs, marketing and sales activities related to identifying, growing and supporting new business opportunities.
  6. Proven record of meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  7. Collects and disseminates customer information, requirements and opportunities through regular CRM entries.
  8. Prepares customer specific presentations and supports development of marketing materials
  9. Submits all required reports, projections and forecast updates for regularly scheduled meetings or as requested.
  10. Travel to customers alone, with Regional Sales Manager and/or Manufacturer’s Rep’s as necessary.
  11. Participates in National and Regional targeted industry trade shows as a technical liaison.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies:

  • High energy individual with 5+ years of proven performance in a sales or business development role in the electrical or mechanical space.
  • History of selling NEMA enclosures a plus.
  • Technical/Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand, explain and coach customers on the benefits of Chatsworth products.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability to travel 65+% of time.
  • 4-year undergraduate degree preferred, but not required
  • Language: Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
