High Density Patching Frame from CPI Provides an Economical Solution for Supporting High Density Cross Connection


 

New Bern, NC - Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, announces the availability of the High-Density Patching Frame. The all-new frame from CPI combines—within a single package—the benefits of 2-post relay style racks with high-density vertical cable management.

Intended for use with rack-mounted high-density patch panels, the frame facilitates quick attachment of 19" wide equipment over 45 rack-mount spaces with threaded EIA-310-D compliant attachment points and is designed to support up to 750 pounds of equipment.

Both sides of the frame are complemented by large open cable fins that provide cable storage space on the rear of the frame for securing premise cable as it transitions from the horizontal pathway (under the floor or overhead) and onto the rack. Simple U-shaped tabs stamped through the fin in regular intervals allow quick attachment of cable ties for securing premise cables. The open design and multiple secure points for cable allow the user to dress premise cable, facilitating smooth transition into rack-mounted equipment.

On the front of the frame, patch cord slack is controlled top-to-bottom, side-to-side, or front-to-rear by cable rings and edge-protected pass-through ports along both sides of the frame, and an integrated jumper trough at the top of the frame. Horizontal cable management accessories from CPI's CatRack Cable Management System can be added in order to enhance the overall cross connect solution.

CPI's High-Density Patching Frame is manufactured from aluminum to maximize strength while simultaneously reducing weight and providing ease of handling during installation. The frame is finished with a gloss black powder coat paint for a highly durable and attractive finish.
