CPI’s Vertical Exhaust Duct attaches to the top panel of the TeraFrame Cabinet to channel hot exhausted into the space above a drop ceiling. This prevents hot air from re-circulating over the cabinet which increases temperatures in the top half of the cabinet. The duct is composed of two pieces – the outer duct attaches to the cabinet, while the inner duct telescopes up into the drop ceiling. To simplify installation, rest the outer duct on the top center of the cabinet frame (do not attach), and then slide the inside duct up through the cabinet frame into the outermost duct and insert the screws to hold in place. Then slide the entire duct back into place and attach to the cabinet frame. When installing the duct, it is recommended that you attach the duct to the cabinet before putting ceiling tiles in place. When the duct is combined with CPI’s Airflow Director, Air Dam Kit, Perforated Front Door and Solid Rear Door, you can effectively manage heat loads up to 20 kW.
