History

In 1991, 90 employees joined together to orchestrate a buyout of their firm (a unit of a Fortune 500 company) using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) was born. Recognizing the deregulation in the telecommunications industry and technological innovation in voice and data equipment, the new employee-owners forged their own direction for the newly formed company by focusing on the explosive need of the information technology market to manage communications and computer equipment.
