Useful Tools for Specifying and Installing CPI Racks

June 25, 2015

Chatsworth Products (CPI) has a wide variety of online tools that make product research, selection and installation easy. One of our most recent additions is a growing library of 3D CPI Models from Sketchfab that allow customers to look at a product from any angle, or zoom in to see greater detail.

Two-Post Rack 3D ModelThe models, which are hosted by Sketchfab, can be accessed on the Sketchfab website or from within the CPI Online Catalog. Models can be easily shared or embedded on any web page. Create an account on the Sketchfab website to manage your favorite models (not required).

Additional tools include:

Documentation Center
The Documentation Center is a comprehensive online reference that provides the ability to search for and download printable documentation to support bids and proposals. You can search by part number, keyword, or phrase. You can also filter types of documents so you get a list of all relevant installation instructions, product data sheets, images, etc.

Product Configurator
The Product Configurator allows you to create custom products and systems. Once built, the Configurator will present a total list price, rendered drawings and offer a selection of distributors or global resellers. Requires login.

CPI Online Catalog
The new CPI Online Catalog allows customers to search, filter and compare products by attribute, category or part number. Additionally, product documentation, installation instructions and free tools are available to save users valuable time.

Cable Fill Tables
The CPI Cable Fill Table lists RECOMMENDED and MAXIMUM cable fill values for all of CPI’s cable management and cable pathway products. The table lists usable area for each cable manager and pathway product so you can calculate cable fill for other types of cable.

CAD Blocks
For customers using AutoCAD for design layouts, CPI has created CAD Shapes of popular CPI products. CPI CAD Shapes feature a top, front, side and isometric views, and are available at no charge. Requires login.

Visio Shapes
For customers using Microsoft® Visio for equipment layouts and creating network diagrams, CPI has teamed up with Altima Technologies to create Visio shapes of popular CPI products. These shapes are compatible with Visio versions 5/2000/2002/2003/2007 and available to you free of charge. Requires login.

BIM Drawings
CPI provides architects, engineers and other design professionals with an extensive library of Building Information Modeling (BIM) files for drafting and designing an ideal installation. Requires login.

CPI'S Mini Catalog AppCPI Mobile App Suite and Mini Catalog App
CPI Mobile App Suite is a suite of design tools developed by CPI to help IT and telecommunications professionals determine cable fill, select server cabinets, identify the best power distribution unit (PDU), and create bills of material (BOM) for cable pathway, while on the go. The Mini Catalog App allows you to access CPI product information on the go, or share it with your customers.
