Chatsworth Products Wins CI&M Innovators Award for the Second Consecutive Year at 2016 BICSI Fall Conference

September 13, 2016

2016 CI&M Innovators AwardFor the second consecutive year, Chatsworth Products (CPI) has received a Silver-level award by the judges of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance (CI&M) 2016 Innovators Awards, presented Monday night during the BICSI Fall Conference & Exhibition being held in San Antonio this week. The award recognizes two outstanding features of CPI’s intelligent eConnect® Power Distribution Units (PDUs): Secure Array™ Technology and Click Secure Locking Outlets.

Ashish Moondra, CPI Sr. Sr. Product Manager of Power, Electronics & Software, accepted the award on behalf of CPI.

Secure Array® Technology

CPI’s Secure Array IP Consolidation enables users to link up to 32 PDUs under a single IP address using standard Ethernet cables, reducing installation time and costs or up to $400 per PDU.

Additional features include outlet grouping, data logging, threshold alarms and PDU cloning. Adding a second IP address provides failover capability, which enables functioning PDUs to continue communicating if a PDU in the array loses connectivity.

Click Secure Technology

This patent-pending technology features locking outlets that securely fasten equipment to the PDU without the need for proprietary power cords, safeguarding power and eliminating the cost of additional accessories. Click Secure Technology by CPI is available on all eConnect PDUs with IEC outlets.

The CI&M Innovators Awards program reviews and recognizes the most innovative applications of cabling and communications technology products and systems within the structured cabling industry. The judging panel consisted of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.
