CPI’s Passive Cooling and Containment Solutions are Key Component to Success of ENERGY STAR Data Center

July 01, 2013

Logicalis US, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, recently highlighted the success of its client, BendBroadband Vault, a colocation and virtualization provider, on earning the EPA's coveted ENERGY STAR rating for data centers. Only eight colocation facilities in the nation have earned ENERGY STAR certification to date.

In a press release dated June 27, 2013, Logicalis described the blueprint for the BendBroadband Vault as exemplifying the high levels of energy efficiency possible when data centers are designed with the innovative use of existing technologies. Logicalis took responsibility for the entire process, including the design, engineering, integration and overall management, which involved selecting, writing RFPs and coordinating construction.

One of the key components of the data center's success is the unique containment solutions provided by Chatsworth Products (CPI). There are no conventional cages in the Vault. Custom heat containment Performance-Optimized Data Center (POD) containers were designed with CPI Passive Cooling® systems that feature CPI's F-Series TeraFram®e Cabinet System.
