Final Four Compete on the Court, But Agree on Importance of Being Green

March 31, 2009

Green Final FourCollege basketball enthusiast gathered over the weekend to cheer on their favorite team to the NCAA Final Four. After several spectacular match-ups, the field has dwindled down to the top team from each division.

Representing the Midwest, Michigan took top honors. UConn finished on top of the West Region. Villanova celebrated their win of the East Region and all Tar Heel fans are smiling as UNC came away as the top team in the South Region. Being from North Carolina, you can guess who I am supporting.

In addition to awesome athletic departments, each of these college campuses have another thing is common. They play a role in promoting green technologies in their communities. Staff and students at each campus have organized several upcoming events to organize, educate, and bring awareness to green and sustainable practices. Check out some of the upcoming events at each university.

"Green" intiatives are taking place everywhere you look -- from the college dorm to the data center. A website called "Inconvenient Youth" is a group of teens who focus on issues that affect the health of our planet. One of their authors recently posted an article "Keeping the Workplace Server Room Green" which mentions CPI's eco-friendly cooling solution, CPI Passive Cooling.

Allow Chatsworth Products to help you stay in the game. The passive cooling technology found with CPI’s TeraFrame™ Family of Cabinets helps reduce data center operating costs, maximizes cooling unit efficiencies and minimizes your environmental impact, making CPI Passive Cooling Solutions the Simply Efficient™ choice.
