CPI Celebrates October as National Employee Stock Ownership Month

October 20, 2011

ESOP Poster 2011Earlier this year, Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI) celebrated our 20-year anniversary as a 100% employee-owned company. We marked the occasion with a special luncheon at our various locations across the globe and took some much needed time to reflect on two decades worth of hard work and dedication to the unique culture fostered by our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) structure.

Under this ESOP structure, every single employee of CPI is known as an employee owner - not just because we all have a financial stake in producing high quality IT infrastructure products and services, but because it empowers each of us to think, feel and act like an accountable owner - giving our work a sense of pride and craftsmanship that shows through in our core purpose to delight the customer and our embodiment of the company motto: "We're All in This Together."

This month, we're especially proud to recognize October as National ESOP Month. Throughout the next few weeks, CPI has a number of fun activities planned, including:

  • ESOP Month Word Search - Beginning Oct. 6
  • ESOP Month Kick-Off Breakfast at all locations - Oct. 7
  • ESOP Face-Off Trivia Game - Upcoming
  • ESOP Education - Upcoming
  • Halloween Festivities - Oct. 31

ESOP Fact 2011While CPI's celebrations for ESOP Month are a great way to get together and champion the cause, we're also committed to the year-round pursuit of using our ESOP structure for goodwill towards our respective communities. That includes events like our annual "Fill the Bus" school supply fundraiser for local school districts and "Breakfast with Santa" auction in Central Texas (via our Georgetown, TX office), the "Relay for Life" fundraiser and "Adopt a Family" outreach in North Carolina (via our New Bern, TX office), and various food drives and "Holidays from the Heart" events that take place in Southern California (via our Chatsworth and Westlake Village, CA offices).

We look forward to carrying on this positive work inspired by our ESOP structure into next year and well into the future! Jeff Cihocki, eContent Specialist
