(CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, has introduced a trio of new products designed to significantly expand cable management functionality and access: the Global Vertical Cabling Section, Extended Fingers Bracket and the Double-Sided Universal Horizontal Cable Manager.
The new Global Vertical Cabling Section is a cost-effective, adaptable vertical cable management solution. The unique, two-piece design of the 7' aluminum, one-sided section significantly reduces shipping size and cost to provide maximum value while retaining the high-quality workmanship common to all CPI products. The two parts can be quickly assembled and then bolted to CPI's Universal and Standard racks as well as QuadraRack™ frames.
The Global Vertical Cabling Section comes pre-assembled with patented cable guide fingers at 1 RMU intervals for easy, neat cable organization. The fingers are made of durable, flame retardant (UL 94V-0) plastic to withstand wear-and-tear and prevent accidental breakage. Choose between two sizes of cable guide fingers: Standard 3.21" depth or extended 5.75" depth for more cable capacity, achieving a total depth of 6.76" and 9.30" respectively. The product also includes an aluminum, snap-on, hinged door/cover to easily hide cable for a professional look. At the same time, it swings on hinges to open left or right, allowing quick access to the cable from either direction for easy moves, adds and changes. The door/cover sits on top of the cable guide fingers to provide additional room for organizing.
The Global Vertical Cabling Section includes a two-piece section, a door/cover and mounting hardware. Available in two widths (wide 6"W or narrow 3.65"W) and two depths (6.76"D with standard fingers or 9.30"D with extended fingers), so you can best accommodate your cable. The product can be adapted to fit specific budgets and needs. Create a double-sided unit by placing sections back-to-back, or add a low-cost set of seven cable management rings in the rear.
The new Extended Fingers Bracket provides extra-deep cable management capacity for applications that require large cable bundles or thick cable. For example, many new switching configurations and patch panel designs route cords toward a single side of the rack. This practice may be necessary to facilitate equipment maintenance of hot-swap options, such as fans or memory devices. To accommodate these unique cable organization needs, CPI designed the Extended Fingers Bracket with 5.75" of cable capacity. Extra space also improves cable bend radius management, meeting or exceeding the needs of the latest Cat 5, 5e and 6 industry standards. In addition, it easily accommodates audiovisual and power cables. The bracket functions as a cost-effective accessory for cable management in specific areas of the rack rather than along its entire height. It comes pre-assembled in 7 RMU, 9 RMU and 13 RMU heights for mounting directly onto any industry standard rack.
The Extended Fingers Bracket uses the same design and material as the patented cable guide fingers available on select models of CPI's cabling sections. Fingers are spaced at 1 RMU intervals to match RMU locations on the rack, allowing easy, neat organization of cable. Made of durable, flame-retardant (UL 94V-0) plastic, the fingers withstand normal wear-and-tear and are not prone to accidental breakage. Simultaneously, they provide enough flex to ease initial cable organization and accommodate future cable changes. Brackets are purchased individually.
CPI has added to its popular Universal Horizontal Cable Manager with the introduction of a new double-sided version for easy organization of front and rear cables in racks or cabinets. Pass-through slots facilitate routing of cords and cables between the two sides. The double-sided design supports more than twice as much cable and frees up valuable mounting space for other equipment. In addition, the Double-Sided Universal Horizontal Cable Manager aligns with CPI's double-sided vertical cabling sections to create an integrated cable pathway system.
The new horizontal manager uses the same patented cable guide fingers, spaced 1.75" apart, as single-sided models to ensure proper cable bend and improved system performance. Fingers have standard 3.21" depth in front and extended 5.75" depth - protruding 4" behind the rack channel - in the rear. In addition, they are made of durable, flame-retardant (UL 94V-0) plastic. Snap-on, hinged covers hide the cables, giving the installation a professional appearance. The covers swing 180 degrees up and down for easy access to cables. The product ships assembled and is available in 19" and 23" widths and 1 RMU, 2 RMU and 3 RMU heights.
