LCD Monitor/Shelf Features 15-inch Screen
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2003—Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, announces the release of the Keyboard+Tray.
Incorporating maximum functionality and space-saving design, the IBM-compatible (PC, XT, AT and PS/2) keyboard and tray requires only 1 RMU of combined space. Despite the unit’s minimal size, full-size keys ensure typing comfort. Additionally, the Keyboard+Tray features a built-in touch pad, eliminating the need for a mouse and separate tray. (No mouse tails to be concerned with). When not being used, the shelf easily slides into a rack or cabinet.
The Keyboard+Tray includes two PS/2 standard connectors (for one keyboard, one mouse) and ships fully assembled. Available for two-post and four-post systems.
As the perfect complement to the Keyboard+Tray, CPI's new 15" LCD Monitor/Shelf features an innovative rotating design and requires minimal RMU space. Typically, computer monitors must have 10 to 14 RMU of space when mounted in a cabinet or rack. By contrast, CPI's LCD Monitor Shelf – with a sleek, 15" screen – uses less than 2 RMU, freeing valuable space for other equipment.
The flat-panel monitor stores horizontally inside a cabinet or rack. When needed, the monitor is pulled out and rotated to a position in front of other mounted equipment. A unique friction plate holds the device at any angle. With the screen upright and pushed back against the equipment, space is created to allow full closing of the cabinet door. If the door has a plexiglass panel – or even one made of hi-flow perforated metal – data can be observed yet safety and security remain undisturbed.
The monitor also features built-in, high-quality audio speakers – an additional space-saving feature.
The LCD Monitor/Shelf comes fully assembled. Available for two-post and four-post systems.
