February 2008 - CPI Participates in Upcoming KyotoCooling Seminar

Best Practices for Revolutionary Energy Conservation and Cooling

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., February 2008—Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a leading manufacturer that sets the BENCHMARK by providing superior structural support to organize, store and secure IT infrastructure equipment will be participating in the upcoming KyotoCooling Seminar, where attendees will learn the best practices for energy conservation and cooling in the data center.

Taking place in the Netherlands, Mar. 25-26, Mar. 27-28 and Apr. 2-3, the KyotoCooling Seminar will provide attendees with revolutionary knowledge on how to reduce cooling expenditures by 80-90%, while simultaneously increasing both densities and cooling reliability. After a brief history of data center cooling technologies and a review of industry trends, there will be a focus on tactics and strategies for establishing and maintaining maximum isolation between cooling source supply air and heated return air, along with an explanation of the economic benefits of that isolation.

The remainder of the Seminar will cover KyotoCooling technology – how it works, how it addresses the problems of other data center cooling technology, and how it exploits hot and cold air isolation to dramatically reduce the total cost of cooling. This part of the Seminar will also include tours of an existing demonstration data center. Attendees will gain a live understanding of how each part of the system is engineered for simplicity, reliability and efficiency, and can ultimately supply free data center cooling days.

The KyotoCooling Seminar will include presentations from thermal experts with CPI, Uptime Technology, The Uptime Institute, Klingenburg GMBH Gladbeck and KPN CyberCenter. For more information about this or any other seminars that CPI is involved in, please visit CPI’s Training and Seminars page, or register for this Seminar at www.kyotocooling.com.
