Make Your Cabinets Safer with CPI’s Electronic Lock Kits

January 21, 2014

Electronic Locking Kits, 1000 and 1500Data centers and facilities that house sensitive and confidential information will greatly benefit from Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) Electronic Lock Kits, which provide enhanced security over standard locks.

There has been an increase in demand for electronic locking systems across the industry due to many factors, including standard requirements (particularly in the health care, government and financial service sectors), protection of confidential data and hardware, and need for multiple access codes.

With CPI’s Electronic Lock Kits, access codes can be changed quickly without replacing or rekeying the lock. In addition, each lock can be programmed with multiple access codes, allowing access-only rights to different staff members.

"Most data centers are only concerned with network or virtual protection of data, but physical safety is equally important," said Anderson Hungria, senior product manager of Power, Electronics and Software at CPI.

GF-Series GlobalFrame Gen 2 CabinetElectronic Lock Kits can be factory-installed on CPI's F-Series TeraFrame® Gen 3, GF-Series GlobalFrame® and ThinLine II Wall-Mount Cabinets, making compliance to the new industry regulations easier. (By the way, you can easily configure a custom TeraFrame or GlobalFrame Cabinet with the Electronic Lock Kit installed, using CPI's Product Configurator.)

They are available in two models — System 1000 and System 1500. System 1000 is a basic lock that supports three access codes. System 1500 is an enhanced solution that supports 22 access codes and has an optional dual-code mode. Both models are battery powered and include an external battery override in case the battery fails.

Get the peace of mind that your investment is being secured and your data is safe with CPI’s Electronic Lock Kits.
