After some exciting organizational updates for Chatsworth Products (CPI) in Latin America, which you can recap here, the team hit the ground running with an April packed full of activity, outreach, learning and networking, culminating in two primary events that we’ll recap below.
Designing Data Centers for the Future: Key Takeaways from the 2023 CPI Continuous Training Program
For many years, CPI’s Latin America team has welcomed customers, end users and partners looking to share best practices, industry knowledge and more by hosting a series of technological seminars labeled as CPI’s Continuous Training Program.
The most recent gathering happened on Thursday, April 20 at CPI’s Mexico City office (known as the “CDAT”), where the CPI Latin America team, along with partners from Corning and HiRef, hosted a seminar exploring today’s most disruptive technologies and the impact they’ll have on industry standards for data centers and beyond.

With great attendance and participation from IT pros around the region, the seminar covered a range of topics from artificial intelligence to the metaverse and hyperconvergence.
Looking at the Present and Future of Data Centers During the BICSI ICT Forum México 2023
Just six days after hosting customers and partners at CPI’s own Latin America office, the team then made its way to the BICSI ICT Forum México 2023 on April 26 at the Hotel Royal Pedregal in Mexico City.
In addition to exhibiting at the event, CPI’s Regional Field Applications Engineer for Latin America, Emmanuel Castillo, hosted a special presentation titled “Los Centros de Datos: El presente y futuro de los negocios de alta disponibilidad,” or Data Centers: the present and future of high availability businesses,” which saw a spirited discussion around everything from smart buildings and smart cities, wireless infrastructure, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and optic fiber.

In addition to exhibiting the latest CPI ICT infrastructure at the booth, the day’s conversations also saw plenty of discussion regarding today’s main drivers of new technologies (like artificial intelligence and the IoT) while also looking at how these high-density needs further require smarter, more efficient approaches to things like energy efficiency in the data center thanks to CPI’s Passive Cooling® Solutions and better power management and monitoring using CPI’s eConnect® Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
