CPI Celebrates Employee Ownership Month

October 31, 2008

ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) companies around the United States join together in the month of October to celebrate Employee Ownership. This is an opportunity for ESOP companies to educate employee owners and the public about the tremendous benefits of ESOPs.

Chatsworth Products, Inc. employees participated in several activities during the month of October including an ESOP treasure hunt, a pumpkin decorating contest, and employee luncheons at each of the manufacturing facilities.

"The purpose of ESOP month is twofold. First, it is a time to celebrate our company culture. As employee owners, we really are privileged to have a stake in the company and enjoy the many benefits associated with being an ESOP company," said Bill Ferguson, the HR Manager at the New Bern, NC location. "Second, our intent is to educate employee owners. We try to ensure that employees have an understanding and appreciation of employee ownership. We have found that employees really enjoy the camaraderie of participating in the various games and activities used to promote ESOP awareness."

The continued success of CPI is directly attributed to the effort of each and every employee owner. The pride and mutual respect among all CPI employees in a family culture has been communicated best by the choice of the company's motto: We're All in This Together.
