Round Rock Chamber Highlights How CPI Helps Customers Thrive in Unprecedented Times
September 02, 2020
When COVID-19 began changing the way businesses operate in early 2020, the manufacturing industry was just one in which several adjustments to daily practices, and business and operating procedures had to be made. That includes the many manufacturing facilities owned and operated by Chatsworth Products (CPI), which span coast to coast in several cities across the U.S., including two in Central Texas, CPI's Georgetown operation, as well as its newest facility in Round Rock, Texas.
So, when the local Round Rock Chamber inquired about speaking with CPI on how we're staying strong, positive and productive, and how we're delivering on our promise to "delight the customer" amidst uncertainty, we happily took up the opportunity.
Melissa Aleman, CPI's Chief Human Resources Officer, spoke with the Chamber, along with Ron Orris, Managing Director of CPI's Round Rock facility.
Aleman stated, "We've minimized the number of people in our facility to keep them safe. We have also implemented a number of daily measures to keep our team safe. We're doing everything from temperature scans to wearing masks to practicing social distancing to minimizing seating in the break room." Orris added that adjustments to how shifts and breaks were structured have also changed.
Aleman goes on to say, "We've learned we can be very productive, and we don't have to all be sitting in the same building...That's maybe one of the positives that has come out of this. COVID has opened our eyes to technology and utilizing the tools around us to be creative in how we do our jobs."
