CPI and Altima Technologies Develop More than 200 Product Shapes for Use in System Planning and Design

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.—Chatsworth Products, Inc. (CPI), a 100% employee-owned leading manufacturer of structural support systems for technology equipment, and Altima Technologies, Inc., the premier provider of products and services that enhance software applications for designing and documenting networks, announce the availability of more than 200 shapes of CPI products for use in structural support system design and planning. An interactive system accessed via a no-charge download link on the CPI website, www.chatsworth.com provides users with shapes of the company's products for simple and quick integration into system layouts. Also included on the CPI website is a pdf format file that illustrates the products that are available as Visio shapes via the free download. The shapes are fully-compatible with Visio® 5, 2000 and 2002.

With the availability of Visio shapes of CPI products, system planners and designers now have a powerful tool that provides a to-scale depiction of the firm's rack, cabinet, cable management and cable pathway products for use in mapping out installations of support infrastructure in data centers and other network environments.

Utilizing Altima Technologies' proprietary NetZoom software, the availability of Visio shapes for CPI products is the latest addition to the more than 35,000 vendor-specific equipment symbols and shapes from more than 750 network equipment manufacturers currently available to data and telecommunications professionals via NetZoom.

"The availability of Visio shapes of CPI's products marks a major step in the level of support we provide to our customers" said the company's Director Of Marketing, Peter Jancourtz. "Utilizing the NetZoom library of Visio product shapes means our customers can now develop precise system layouts with just a few clicks.
