September 2013 - Back by Popular Demand, CPI will Present “Architecture vs. Airflow” at Data Center World Fall 2013

Data Center World 2013WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.– Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) Global Technology Manager and data center infrastructure guru, Ian Seaton, will present the seminar, “Architecture vs. Airflow: How Containment Strategies Stack Up to Facilities’ Challenges,” at Data Center World Fall 2013, held at the Orlando World Center Marriott, Sept. 29 – Oct. 2.

This popular presentation drew a standing room only crowd at the Data Center World Spring Conference in April, requiring a second presentation the following day. Now attendees of the Fall conference can take advantage of a third presentation being held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 9:00 a.m.

“Architecture vs. Airflow” will settle the debate on which containment is most efficient and what factors affect efficiency. Seaton states, “The debate has finally been addressed in a scientific study that found no efficiency advantage for one form over another. Therefore, a decision regarding containment choice can rest on other architectural and business variables.”

In addition to the presentation, CPI will exhibit a wide range of products and solutions in the exhibit hall. Attendees will experience hands-on interaction with a Cold Aisle Containment Solution (CAC), which combines the Cabinet Supported Ceiling Panel Kit, Aisle Containment Door Assemblies and Cabinet To Floor Seal Kits to confine cold air supply to an entirely closed off area, targeted at cooling IT equipment, instead of a room.

Also on display will be eConnect Power Distribution Units (PDUs). There are five models of PDUs: Basic, Monitored, Monitored Pro, Switched and Switched Pro. Each model includes numerous voltage and outlet options, quick and easy deployment, an ambient temperature rating that can support any HAC solution and a low-profile design that easily integrates into a cabinet’s Zero U space.

Additionally, CPI will present its new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products from GE Critical Power. These products provide critical power protection for small to mid-size server, data storage, networking, telecom, point of sales and office applications. There are four single-phase UPS models available based on level of protection, power availability and type of installation: IT Series, VH Series, GT Series and LP-11U Series.
