Product Information
Key Benefits of the Exhaust Duct for ZetaFrame® Cabinets
The vertical exhaust duct creates a sealed pathway for hot air to exit the top of a ZetaFrame® cabinet, enabling true closed‑loop airflow and improving overall cooling efficiency. By directing exhaust directly to an overhead drop ceiling, the solution eliminates recirculation and reduces the load on room‑level air‑handling units, a critical advantage for high‑density exhaust cabinets. The duct's flexible top seal accommodates variations in ceiling height, ensuring a reliable connection in diverse data‑center environments. Installation is straightforward thanks to the two‑piece design that adjusts from 20″ to 34″ (508 mm‑863 mm) to match the distance between the cabinet roof and the ceiling. The aluminum construction provides durability while the plastic‑sealed corners resist corrosion, and the optional Glacier White finish blends with most enclosure aesthetics. A brush‑sealed cable opening on the back of the duct allows power and network cords to pass without compromising the sealed airflow path. The duct works seamlessly with other ZetaFrame® accessories such as solid rear doors, bottom panels, air dams, and snap‑in filler panels, forming a complete air‑containment strategy for exhaust cabinets. Its compatibility with standard 23.6″ W (600 mm) cabinet widths ensures that the same part can serve a range of ZetaFrame® models, simplifying inventory and maintenance. The design also supports easy height adjustment, allowing technicians to fine‑tune airflow as rack layouts evolve. Performance testing shows that the vertical exhaust duct can reduce cooling‑system energy consumption by up to 15 percent in typical deployments, translating to lower operating costs and a smaller carbon footprint. The sealed pathway minimizes dust ingress, protecting sensitive electronics and extending equipment lifespan. This solution aligns with CPI's commitment to rapid product customization and global availability, delivering a reliable, high‑performance component for modern data‑center infrastructure. Choosing the 39873‑E04 exhaust duct enhances the thermal management of any ZetaFrame® cabinet, providing a durable, adaptable, and efficient solution for today's demanding exhaust cabinets.
