Key Features of the Ground Strap Kit
The Cable Runway Bonding Strap Kit provides a dedicated bonding strap to create a continuous grounding path across runway splices. Each kit contains a #6 AWG green insulated copper conductor with a helical yellow stripe, delivering consistent electrical continuity. Designed for data center environments, the bonding strap meets stringent UL® listed requirements for safety and performance. The strap kit includes four stainless‑steel cap screws, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts, ensuring a secure mechanical connection. All hardware is sized for 1/4‑inch bolt holes spaced on 5/8‑inch centers, simplifying installation and reducing on‑site labor. The kit is offered in individual units or convenient packs of 25 for larger projects. Installation requires drilling 5/16‑inch (127 mm) holes and attaching the two‑hole compression lugs to the runway sections. The lugs feature 1/4‑inch (6.4 mm) bolt holes, allowing precise alignment and reliable compression. This straightforward process supports rapid deployment while maintaining compliance with grounding standards. UL® Listed components, File E515394, Category KDER (US) and KDER7 (Canada), guarantee that the bonding & grounding straps meet industry certifications. The kit's construction resists corrosion and mechanical wear, extending service life in harsh data‑center conditions. Optional configurations are available upon request to match specific enclosure layouts. Using this ground strap kit enhances overall system safety by preventing stray currents and reducing electromagnetic interference. It integrates seamlessly with existing cable runway assemblies, supporting scalable infrastructure growth. The solution aligns with CPI's commitment to high‑quality, globally available products for modern data‑center deployments.
