Product Description
Monitored eConnect® PDUs provide remote power monitoring to the input and branch circuit level, making it possible to obtain and manage power consumption at the cabinet level.
Key Features and Benefits
- Reduced Networking Costs and Complexity – Secure Array® allows the use of a single IP address for up to 48 connected PDUs (32 when electronic locks are integrated). Second IP address for the entire array provides failover capability.
- Resistance to High Temperature – Marketleading temperature ratings of up to 149°F (65°C) ensures reliability when mounted toward hot aisles.
- Simplified Load Balancing – Phase-balance outlets on three-phase models ensure equal loading across all phases; allows use of shorter equipment power cords for better cable and airflow management.
- No Accidental Disconnections – Patented, low-profile locking outlets prevent accidental disconnections without requiring special cords
- Easy Identification of Failover Unit – Redundancy Pack includes 2 PDUs (one in Black and one in Glacier White) for easy identification of the primary and secondary unit.
- Electronic Lock Integration – Patented technology seamlessly integrates PDU, environmental sensors and electronic locks into a single hardware and software solution
- Gigabit Ethernet – Ensures compatibility with enterprise routers and switches.
- Latest UL Compliance – Meets UL and IEC 62368 for compliance with new listing requirements for North America and the European Union.
- Cabinet Preinstallation – Complete ecosystem ships ready for IT equipment integration, and saves deployment time and reduces packaging waste.
- High Power Configurations – Configurations supporting up to 100A Input provide an optimized solution for GPU & AI based applications. 30A branch circuit breakers provide flexibility when plugging high power IT equipment.
- Universal Input – A single PDU design with detachable input cords supports global AC power standards, streamlining procurement, reducing inventory complexity, accelerating deployment, and ensuring reliable high-power performance across worldwide data centers.
Product Information
Advanced Power Monitoring and Security Capabilities
The Monitored eConnect® PDU EA-3003-CE delivers comprehensive power distribution unit (PDU) with power monitoring, enabling precise remote oversight of input and branch circuit levels. This monitored PDU supports Secure Array® IP consolidation, reducing networking costs by allowing up to 48 PDUs to share a single IP address. With gigabit Ethernet compatibility and an onboard GUI, it integrates seamlessly into modern data center environments for efficient power management.
Enhanced security features make this a secure PDU, incorporating patented locking outlets to prevent accidental disconnections and support for electronic lock integration. The PDU security is bolstered by SNMPv1/v2/v3, RESTful API, and CLI protocols, ensuring robust access control and monitoring. Environmental sensor readiness further extends protection, allowing real-time alerts for conditions that could impact performance or safety.
Designed for high-density applications, this monitored eConnect PDU operates reliably in temperatures up to 149 degrees Fahrenheit (65 degrees Celsius), ensuring stability in demanding settings like AI and hyperscale data centers. Its field-replaceable controller and hydraulic magnetic breakers provide long-term durability and easy maintenance. The redundancy pack includes two PDUs in distinct colors for straightforward identification of primary and secondary units.
eConnect automation simplifies load balancing and phase management, with outlets arranged to promote equal loading across phases in three-phase models. This optimization supports shorter equipment power cords, improving cable management and airflow within cabinets. The PDU’s metering accuracy of +/-1% ensures precise energy usage tracking, aiding in cost reduction and regulatory compliance.
Integration with existing systems is streamlined through LDAP or Radius support, HTTPs encryption, and compatibility with management software like Power IQ®. These monitored PDUs facilitate centralized control, enabling administrators to monitor power consumption, set thresholds, and respond to alerts proactively. By combining power monitoring, security, and automation, the EA-3003-CE enhances operational efficiency and protects critical IT infrastructure.
