Key Benefits of the Extended Finger Design
The EFX Products Master Cabling Section delivers a streamlined approach to vertical cable management in dense rack environments. Its patented cable guide fingers are positioned at 1U intervals, allowing installers to see cabling paths clearly and route patch cords with precision. This design reduces floor‑space usage while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. EFX Solutions emphasize reliability, and the section incorporates UL®‑94V‑0 fire‑rated composite material for safe operation in plenum spaces. A reversible aluminum SwitchGate Door with an integrated handle provides quick access for maintenance without compromising structural integrity. The unit is pre‑assembled, enabling rapid deployment and consistent alignment across multiple racks. The extended‑finger geometry supports a high cable capacity, accommodating up to 1,052 Cat 5e cables per side with a 40 percent fill factor. Edge‑protected pass‑through ports and vertical slots secure cables, and optional Saf‑T‑Grip® straps add extra retention on double‑sided configurations. These features help technicians see cabling organization at a glance, improving service efficiency. As a member of the MCS master family, the section meets rigorous industry standards and integrates seamlessly with existing CPI rack systems. Its fire‑rated construction and robust mounting options ensure compliance with data‑center safety codes. The design eliminates the need for separate horizontal cable managers, simplifying overall infrastructure. CPI supports the MCS product line with worldwide distributor networks and comprehensive design tools, including CAD and BIM models. Customers can customize width, height, and finish to match specific enclosure requirements while retaining the core benefits of the EFX architecture. The result is a versatile, future‑ready solution that enhances performance and scalability for modern data‑center deployments.
