Key Benefits of Single‑Sided MCS Cabling
The MCS cable solution provides a single‑sided master cabling section designed for vertical rack installations. Engineered for high‑density environments, the system aligns cable guides at precise 1U intervals to match standard rack spacing. This approach streamlines cabling organization and supports the rapid deployment of data‑center infrastructure. Patented cable guide fingers create a reliable pathway for patch cords, reducing the need for separate horizontal cable managers. Constructed from UL 94V‑0 fire‑rated composite material, the section meets stringent plenum requirements for safe cabling. Edge‑protected pass‑through ports and optional Saf‑T‑Grip® straps secure cables on both sides of the master cable assembly. The MCS master cabling hardware is offered in four widths--4.4″ (112 mm), 6″ (152 mm), 10″ (254 mm), and 12″--and a range of heights from 5′6″ (1.7 m) to 9′ (2.7 m) to accommodate diverse rack configurations. Color options include black, clear, and Glacier White, allowing seamless integration with existing enclosure aesthetics. Each configuration maintains the same 1U cable guide density, ensuring consistent performance across all sizes. Preassembled components simplify installation, eliminating the need for on‑site field assembly and reducing labor time. The reversible aluminum SwitchGate door with handle provides easy access for maintenance while preserving a cohesive visual appearance. By consolidating cable management into a single vertical section, floor space is optimized and airflow pathways remain unobstructed. Chatsworth Products (CPI) backs the MCS cable series with global availability and rapid product customization to meet specific project requirements. Technical support and design tools such as the CPI Product Designer enable engineers to model the solution within BIM and CAD environments. The result is a reliable, scalable cabling infrastructure that supports AI, HPC and future‑ready data‑center deployments.
