Product Description
The Model 1074 Wi-Tile™ series suspended ceiling enclosure mounts and secures 5G/LTE/CBRS Small Cell radio units (RUs), Wi-Fi Access Points (APs), and other telecom gear into suspended ceilings. The enclosure replaces a standard 2 x 2 ft. ceiling tile and must be supported by the ceiling structure. This series includes an adjustable depth swing down panel which permits simplified mounting and access to RUs and APs. The model 1074 features an interchangeable door, available with either a general use, low loss plastic dome to mount RUs inside the enclosure, an RU-specific door with a cutout to expose the antenna surface of the RU slightly below the ceiling, or a solid metal door for mounting antennas on the door surface.
Key Features and Benefits
- 2 x 2 ft. ceiling tile telecommunications enclosure, designed to secure and protect one or more 5G/LTE/CBRS Small Cell and Wi-Fi APs and associated networking components and cables
- Designed for installing both plenum-rated and non-plenum rated powered equipment in the plenum space, in a code compliant manner
- UL listed and designed to meet National Electric Code paragraph 300-22(C) for use in the above-ceiling (plenum) space. Metal enclosures satisfy UL 2043, Fire Test for Heat and Visible Smoke Release
- Interchangeable doors allow for Radio Unit and Access Point changes and upgrades without removing the enclosure from the ceiling
- Convenient swing down panel for ease of access and maintenance (in -SCDOME models only)
- Large back-box to dissipate heat generated by Radio Units and Access Points
- Enclosure back-box is an effective particle, dust and smoke barrier to simplify ICRA procedure compliance in healthcare environments
