Product Description
Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mounts 1440 are an economical cloud/canopy/suspended ceiling mounting kit for most vendors’ access points and antennas. A cutout is made in the ceiling panel, the panel bridge is placed above the ceiling panel, and the access point is attached to the white trim. The access point and trim assembly is then drawn into the panel bridge with a torsion spring, much like a recessed lighting fixture, with only the front face exposed for optimal wireless coverage. When the AP brand or model changes, the AP trim is easily swapped for new trim.

Key Features of the Oberon® In-Plane™ Recessed Mount 1440
The Oberon® In-Plane™ recessed mounts 1440 provide a clean solution for ceiling‑mount AP deployments in high‑ceiling environments, enabling high ceiling wireless access point installation. Designed for seamless integration with Arista C‑360 and other leading vendors, the mount delivers reliable performance while preserving the aesthetics of the suspended ceiling. This product exemplifies Oberon® mounts that support high‑density wireless infrastructure. Each kit includes a .036 inch (0.9 mm) thick galvanized steel panel bridge and a white powder‑coated steel trim, offering robust support without compromising tile integrity. The dimensions of 22.87 x 18 x 3.5 in. (580 x 457 x 90 mm) ensure a compact footprint that fits standard acoustic and thin‑metal ceiling panels. The construction meets the rigorous standards expected of Oberon® products. Installation is straightforward: a cutout is made in the ceiling panel, the panel bridge is positioned, and the AP is attached to the trim, which is then drawn into place by a torsion spring. The adjustable hanger wire prevents panel sag and accommodates ceiling thicknesses from .03 inch (0.7 mm) to 1 inch (25 mm). This recessed mount eliminates loose hardware and provides a flush, professional appearance for any ceiling mount AP. The interchangeable trim design allows quick replacement when the AP model changes, reducing downtime and simplifying upgrades. While the kit ships with Arista‑specific trim, the system is compatible with all leading vendors identified in Oberon's Model 1440 configuration guide. This flexibility makes the solution ideal for diverse data‑center and enterprise deployments.
