Product Description
Oberon® Wi-Tile® Ceiling Enclosures 1047; Locking Suspended Ceiling Tile Access Point Enclosures – Economical, locking, suspended ceiling Wi-Tile enclosure mounts and secures Wi-Fi APs flush to the ceiling. This metal enclosure replaces a standard ceiling tile, and it's larger back-box is suitable for larger APs and antennas. APs are mounted in the door, or inside the enclosure in models with the ABS or frosted polycarbonate plastic dome. The interchangeable door simplifies AP and antenna moves, adds, and changes.
Model 1047 is recommended for new installations to accommodate larger 6GHz-capable Wi-Fi 6E and 7 APs.
Three styles are available to match the ceiling grid type and size:
- 1047-XXXX: Lay-in flange for standard flush grid ceilings
- 1047-XXXX-T: Tegular flange for recessed grid ceilings
- 1047-XXXX-600MM: 600mm flange for European metric ceiling grids

Key Benefits of Plastic Suspended Ceiling Grid Enclosures
The Oberon® Wi‑Tile™ 1047 enclosure provides a secure, locking mount for ceiling‑suspended wireless access points. It is engineered to replace a standard tile in a plastic suspended ceiling grid, delivering a seamless appearance. The large back‑box creates a dust‑tight barrier that supports reliable Wi‑Fi operation. Installation uses the included ceiling grid hanger wire to suspend the enclosure from the tile opening. The hanger wire attaches to the built‑in knockouts, allowing a quick and sturdy mount without cutting the grid. This method simplifies service and reduces installation time. The enclosure is sized for the Aruba AP‑555 and other enterprise‑grade APs with integrated antennas. The interchangeable door permits rapid migration to newer models or different antenna configurations. Optimal placement parallel to the ceiling maximizes wireless coverage. A firestop grommet is integrated into the back‑box, meeting code requirements for plenum spaces. The 16‑ga aluminum construction is powder‑coated for corrosion resistance and matches common ceiling finishes. The design also addresses ICRA concerns in healthcare environments by acting as an effective dust barrier. Maximum internal weight is 25 lb, supporting additional accessories such as external antennas. The enclosure includes four 1‑in. trade‑size conduit knockouts for flexible cable routing. Oberon® provides rapid customization options to meet unique project specifications.
