Case Study
As one of the nation’s premier teaching hospitals, UF Health Shands in Gainesville needed to transform a 2,200-square-foot storage space into a high-density, energy-efficient data center capable of handling growing power and cooling demands while ensuring reliability and scalability.
The hospital deployed a free-standing Hot Aisle Containment (HAC) solution—the first of its kind in Florida. The installation featured Chatsworth Products’ Glacier White cabinets alongside energy-efficient containment system using Vertical Exhaust Ducts and snap-in filler panels to reduce cooling costs, while also enhancing visibility with a clean, hospital-grade aesthetic.
The result is high-performance healthcare data center infrastructure that supports up to 25kW per cabinet, increases energy efficiency, supports patient care through reliable IT infrastructure.
