April 09, 2010
What’s been going on around town? Leviton, Superior Essex, and Chatsworth Products, Inc. hosted a collaborative “Data Center Road Show” for end-users, consultants, and engineers. One day of the tri-city event (including Dallas and Houston locations) was held this week at CPI’s Research, Development, and Training Center and manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Texas. The RD&T Product Showroom, Thermal Test Lab, and manufacturing floor were accessible for visitors to tour and view. Road show topics of interest were data center emerging technologies and design guidelines.
CPI Technology Marketing Manager, Ian Seaton, presented “Beyond Best Practices: Data Center Thermal Management Solutions”. Other presenters included Joe Helm and Kevin Hailey of Leviton and John O’Brien of Superior Essex who reviewed current TIA Standards, data center copper systems and fiber 10/40/100G systems. Additional Leviton support was provided by Greg Stover and Charlie Bogolawski.
The training presentations provided the attendees with 6 BICSI continuing education credits. The event was tremendous success and attendee commentary was very positive. Special thanks to Kathie Poelzl the South Central Regional Sales Manager at Chatsworth Products, and Datacom Sales rep firm for their dedication to this event. Stay tuned as we will keep you informed of any future events in your area. Lindsay Klein, RD&T Coordinator
