A growing online food services company needed to expand fulfillment and distribution operations, so it leased a new, state-of-the-art industrial building. The location was responsible for preparation, kitting, packaging and shipping product. Floorspace was critical and airflow circulation was a challenge. CPI designers delivered a custom solution that could uphold sanitary requirements in an incredibly short turnaround window.

Business Challenge

Maximizing capacity was a key requirement as it wasn't possible to give up floorspace for the network. And maintaining sanitary conditions meant the IT equipment had to be protected from frequent hose-down cleaning. In addition, network equipment required high capacity cooling, but there was no space to add ducting to tie into the building's HVAC system...airflow circulation was going to be a challenge.
