For Chatsworth Products (CPI), June 1991 marked an even more significant milestone—the founding of our company. Born out of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), CPI became a 100% employee-owned company dedicated to creating innovative infrastructure solutions, including racks, cable management, and runways that transformed how ICT professionals store and protect critical technology.

This year, through the ongoing support and success of our customers, CPI is honored to celebrate our 30th anniversary as a 100% employee-owned company, and proud to say we're still just as passionate—and committed—to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions that serve the dynamic and complex ICT industry worldwide.
Today, after steady global expansion into six continents, and a product portfolio that has grown to include thousands of offerings—each design inspired by solving everyday customer challenges—CPI has honed its agile manufacturing capabilities to efficiently provide engineered, customer-specified solutions to help organizations of all sizes quickly and confidently adapt to digital transformation across platforms such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G wireless networks.

Over the past several years, CPI has expanded its capabilities and product offerings to better serve our customers:
- Patented and Award-Winning Solutions: Developed products that enhance on-site customization and user experience.
- Strategic Acquisitions: Acquired Oberon Inc., a leader in mounting solutions for wireless access points, and R.F. Mote, a Canadian-based manufacturer.
- Facility Expansions: Opened the Electronics & Software Technology Center in Round Rock, Texas, and expanded our New Bern, N.C., manufacturing facility in 2019.
- New Global Headquarters: In 2021, CPI is opening a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Simi Valley, Calif., doubling our physical footprint near our original location in Chatsworth, Calif.
